Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique keycase to celebrate the brand's centenary. It is made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a flying "B" paperweight keys, as well as a booklet featuring never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

It's the perfect gift to introduce a new owner to their opulent vehicle.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a company that takes its aesthetics very seriously. It shows in the precision location of its quilting the choice of leather sourced from cattle by-products, the wood that comes from sustainably managed forests and the creative patterns on its levers. As you approach a vehicle like the Continental GT W12, its sculptural beauty is displayed through carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever made. Its rear tonneau, for instance, featured the largest piece of dark-stained, book-matched Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to a production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this bespoke design, quality and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the world's most desirable automotive brand. The company is constantly pushing the boundaries using the most advanced technologies and hand-crafted products. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear sunroof and a crafted Apple iPad docking station.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019 100 years after the marque was established. The marque, now owned by Volkswagen on its own after years of dispute with BMW and BMW, had planned a number of special events and launches to mark this significant occasion. The company planned a range of special occasions and launches to mark the historic occasion before the planning of a pandemic became a priority.

Design

Bentley is a luxury car manufacturer that makes ostentatious and luxurious cars. However, even keys stand out. The Bentayga key is crafted from sterling silver and features an oversized 'B' logo which lets everyone know that you're a Bentley. The key is also inscribed with the dates 1919 and 2019 to mark the company’s centenary.

Bentley Mulliner redesigned and redesigned the Mulsanne to become the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. It has two opposing pairs of rear seats that are modelled on luxury private aircraft and provides passengers with unbeatable comfort and privacy.  bentley smart key , ventilation and air conditioning system has been developed to ensure that every passenger has the ideal climate control setting.

The Mulsanne has twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that puts out 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This incredible power is complemented with a new suspension system that provides Bentley's trademark smooth ride.

In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a specific specification that is called the Centenary Specification for vehicles built in 2019. The cabin is equipped with cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests, seats and other areas of the car. This is a great way to celebrate the occasion. A custom Bentley key case is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons that open the trunk, and another which starts the vehicle. The key also has a switch for turning on the parking brake. There is a knob that can fold and unfold the mirrors when parking in tight spots. Utilizing this feature will aid you in getting in and out of your car more easily.

The key is made of vegetable tanned leather and takes more than two days to craft each one. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, stitched to seal, and polished to achieve a high-quality result. It is small and sturdy and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is reminiscent of the Volkswagen Phaeton's huge car key, but feels more substantial and premium.

Secure-A-Key is also included to prevent keyless entry theft. This device is inserted inside the remote control key fob and is turned off after a few minutes of inactivity. This prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's distinctive style reflects the firm's values of high-quality craftsmanship, engineering expertise, and cutting-edge technology. More than 4,000 employees work at the Crewe headquarters, and are responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley automobiles. They apply their skills that have been passed through generations to the latest automotive technology. This is the hallmark of British manufacturing at its best.

Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers design their own vehicle. Customers sit at a set of images called "mood stations" and pick a set of photos ranging from scenic landscapes to sporting events that are inspiring to them to design their own. As each selection is made, a pattern is created that reveals the design and color preferences for the customized Bentley.

The resulting configuration is saved to individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are presented to the guests in a handmade key case. Keys can also be equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that light up the door's opening pathway with the owner's name and/or emblem as they make their way towards the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man hours to design and put together the typical Mulsanne. The key to this time-consuming effort is a conscious refusal to embrace modern tech. The Crewe factory workers do not use a machine to space perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead,  bentley flying spur key  do it by hand. Drivers are required to park their vehicles manually, instead of using the built-in sensors to direct them to perpendicular and parallel spaces.
